Nadia Murad is a young Yazidi woman who was captured by the IS in August 2014, and used as a sex slave and tortured. Her friends, family, and many members of her home community were killed. This book features amended interviews with Nadia where she charts both her physical and emotional locations throughout this time.

Narrative
Nadia's story is powerful. Each aspect of the book—the soft, transparent paper, the typographic treatments, the call to actions—is meant to highlight her story and guide the reader through her narrative.
