Cuisine and art shape culture. Not only do they act as modes of expression—they serve as reflections of history, current situations, cultural norms. They hold pieces of  information so particular to culture. The Cross Section is a fictional conference that brings together artists, chefs, and citizens to explore where food and art meet and to share new cultural experiences.
Connections
Cuisine and art are complex—they contain layers, depth, and transmit and share culture and ideas. Simple design elements such as transparencies, using highlighted text, and using a rounded, open typeface call back to these characteristics and initiate conversation.
